Tips & Best Practices
Field-tested habits that make Inoscope pay for itself.
Set Up Your Pricing First
Do the ~30-minute Calibration before serious work: upload a price list or a past invoice. Once rates are learned, assessments price themselves and Bee's numbers match your business, not an average.
Name Things Like You'll Search Them
Assessment, property and file names are searchable — "Baxter Warehouse — RFT 2025" beats "New Assessment (3)".
Use Memory Relentlessly
Add memories for anything that's true forever: "client prefers coloursteel", "site is occupied — no noisy work before 9am", "always show pre-margin". Bee reads them on every run, at user, company and assessment level.
Snapshot Before Big Changes
Before a re-run, a mass edit, or a what-if pricing pass, take a Snapshot. Restoring is one click and removes the fear of experimenting.
Let Bee Show Its Work
Expand the thinking/tool-call rows in chat when a number looks odd — the citations (file, page, measurement) are there. Ask "why did you price this at $465?" and Bee answers from its own trail.
Review Mode Before Export
Walk the estimate in Review mode with the Pre-margin toggle on. Clear the ▲ warnings in the outline; nothing signed off unseen.
Queue Messages Behind Uploads
Uploading a 200-page spec? Write your instruction now and queue it so it fires the second indexing finishes — no waiting, no re-typing.
Rewind, Don't Re-explain
When a direction goes wrong, long-press your own message and rewind the conversation to that point instead of arguing Bee back.
Measure Where It Matters
Callouts are recognised across every sheet; set the scale once per drawing and cite measurements so quantities stay tied to the page they came from.
Keep Evidence Defensible
Watch the confidence legend and the Authenticity badge on photos; re-shoot anything under 70% and Verify after swapping images.
Organise Mail by Purpose
Claim a mailbox per purpose (enquiries vs invoices) so inbound mail routes itself into assessments or draft supplier documents.
Voice on Site, Refine at the Desk
Record walk-throughs on the phone; they upload in the background, transcribe, mind-map, and attach to assessments with From Records.
Share Links, Not Attachments
Send report/record share links (public or restricted) instead of PDFs — the link always shows the latest version and opens back in the app.
