Damage Assessment
A Damage Assessment turns site photos into a defensible repair scope: damage items are pinned on the photos, checked for authenticity, grouped by location, and converted into a costed Scope of Works.
The Details Tab

- Images by Location — photos are grouped per location (e.g. Entry). The legend explains marker confidence: 90%+ high confidence, 70–89% uncertain, <70% confirmation recommended. Add locations or edit their names with the pencil / plus buttons.
- Authenticity badge + Verify — every photo is checked; the badge shows the score (e.g. Authenticity 95%) and Verify re-runs the check.
- Pinned damage markers — each damage item is a lettered pin exactly where the damage is on the photo.
- Damage cards — one per finding: description, UID, onset chip (SUDDEN vs GRADUAL), type (impact, abrasion, moisture/water…) and severity (Moderate, Critical…). Edit or delete with the pencil / bin icons — damage items are editable after creation (since 3.5.0).
- Scope of Works — the repair scope Bee builds from the damage, with the usual line-item toolbar and Add.
- Totals — live ex-GST, GST and inclusive totals, plus pre-margin cost.
The viewer's top-right buttons toggle the photo strip and full-screen mode.
Workflow
- Create a Damage assessment (+ New → New Assessment → Damage) and upload photos — or record a voice note on site and attach it.
- Run the pipeline. Bee locates damage, pins markers, scores authenticity, and drafts damage cards.
- Review each card: adjust type, onset and severity; delete false positives; add anything Bee missed.
- Refine the Scope of Works in the Line Items tab or by chatting with Bee.
- Snapshot before big changes; export or generate a report when done.
Rapid Assessment
For quick walk-throughs (up to five photos) use Rapid Assessment — it brings damage documentation and work scoping together in one focused pass so you get the essentials down and keep the job moving.
The Files Tab

- Upload files / From Files / From Records — three ways to add evidence; shared content opens reliably, including company-owned files.
- Counters — folders, files, images and total size at a glance.
- Image rows — name, UID, size and date with download and delete; images feed the Details tab.
- Locations rail — the same grouping as Details; assign images to locations here.
Supported uploads include photos, PDFs, Word/Excel, Outlook .msg, .rtf, DWG/DXF CAD drawings (indexed and openable in the built-in viewer since 3.6.5), and zip archives (indexed for search and Bee).
Tips
- Keep one location per physical area — the scope rolls up cleanly.
- Confirm anything under 70% confidence; the legend colours tell you at a glance.
- Use Verify after swapping or re-uploading a photo.
